Angela helps companies and individuals navigate a variety of complex disputes. She has litigated wide-ranging business issues in both state and federal courts, including commercial contracts, shareholder oppression, trade secret protection, insurance coverage, real property disputes, and employee non-competes. Her complex litigation experience includes class action and multi-district litigation defense.
Angela also maintains a niche appellate litigation practice, beginning with preserving issues at trial, through to post-judgment briefing and a final decision on appeal. After beginning her appellate experience clerking on the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, she has handled successful appeals in the Alabama Supreme Court, Alabama Court of Civil Appeals, and several federal circuits. She has also drafted two amicus briefs to the United States Supreme Court.
In addition, Angela is often engaged in pro bono matters. She is an active volunteer with the Madison County Volunteer Lawyers Program and has handled multiple prisoner rights appeals, including a brief to the United States Supreme Court on behalf of the National Association for Public Defense.
Angela and her husband, Dustin, are Huntsville, Alabama natives. They are active members at Trinity United Methodist Church. Most weekends, you’ll find them golfing at the Ledges or hiking on Monto Sano.
