AMANDA JAMES TURNAGE

Partner

Amanda helps employers solve workplace problems before they become lawsuits—and wins the cases when they do.

Amanda James Turnage has represented clients in a variety of matters in federal and state courts across North Alabama and the state, including business and contractual disputes, real estate and real property litigation, labor and employment discrimination claims, and shareholder disputes. Amanda also regularly helps clients solve their employment related problems in a variety of ways. She counsels clients on the numerous situations that can arise related to their employees, including termination and disciplinary decisions, reasonable accommodation issues, wage-and-hour issues, and medical leave. Amanda also routinely assists employers with policies, handbooks, and procedures and handles workplace investigations. In addition, she represents clients in employment-related litigation.

Prior to joining the firm, Amanda clerked for the Honorable C. Lynwood Smith, Jr. and also practiced for several years at one of the prominent large firms in the Southeast. Amanda draws on the insight and experience that she learned from her federal clerkship to assist clients navigating federal litigation and potential employment claims. She also utilizes her knowledge of business together with her experience in litigating employment issues and business disputes to aid clients in finding solutions that align with both business and legal needs.
